Comments about Apple Core i5 4GB RAM 500GB Hard Drive 21.5 inch iMac:

[...] Opened it up well packed inside and out, put it on the unit and plugged it in switched on and WOW the sound is superb, love the all in one aspect. Its so easy to do your name password etc and of you go.The machine will ask if you want to upload new software I did this as it takes an hour or so.magic mouse and keyboard are worked by batteries, so switch of, to save them when you no longer are using the machine saves on life. The colour and clarity and design of the screen and also accessories is fantastic.PROS: All in one design, fast start up, sound and picture quality, saves to icloud so you do not lose your work, configures between your other Apple products. easy access to put more RAM in if wanted. Cons: doesn't come with i works etc considering the price it should. you might like i works I found it to limited compared to Windows. Overall: Apple make great machines, they do take getting used to if you have been a P.C user, but is it worth it? yes. You can buy windows for the i mac from VERY, on the other hand you can trial it from windows for a month to see if you like it. do your research first and also consider coverage before your year is up. Why you ask, I have an Apple laptop I had to get it fixed outside the warranty and it cost me £100( p.s my son has now borrowed it now I have the new i mac). This is what I will be doing before the year is up when you are paying[$]its worth it.

So easy to set up,WOW picture quality, Sound blows you away. Love that its "all in one". Did look at other computers in stores in conjunction with this one before I made my decision. Yes it is expensive but I think it is worth it, will also buy extra cover before the year is up.[...]

[...]The iMac is superb and stylish, and although not the highest spec, it's still more than suitable for video/music editing with plenty of room to upgrade in the future. Definitely worth it over the 12month interest free payment option.

                  More Information

                  YOUR EASY GUIDE TO COMPUTERS

All our computers are labeled as either Netbook, Standard, Mid-range or Premium to make it easier for you to choose.

                  Netbooks

The newest, smallest and lightest PCs. Great for social networking, and if you to do basic computing - emailing and surfing the Internet when you're on the go. To keep them small and light, there's no drive for CD's/DVD's.

                  Standard

Bigger and more powerful than Netbooks with up to 24in monitors (desktops) and more features. Good for popular tasks like general internet browsing, word processing, emails and household accounts*

                  *appropriate software needed

                  Mid-range

All the features of Standard, plus:

Faster processors, larger hard drives, larger screens and better graphic cards make these ideal for watching movies, managing your photos and music and playing games.

                  Premium

All the features of Mid-range, plus:

Combine the latest technology with stylish design. They'll do everything our other computers do, faster and more efficiently. And much more besides. Look out for our small and light Notebooks - higher specification and small than an A4 notepad

                  Buying Guide

                  FEATURES TO CONSIDER

                  Processor

The PC's brain - determines speed/performance. Speed is shown in Gigahertz (GHz). The higher the GHz the faster the processing speed.

                  RAM (Random Access Memory)

The PC's working space where work progress is stored. The more RAM your computer has, the more efficiently it will perform.

Wireless connection - N format gives your wireless laptop 10 x the range and 15 x speed of G format (dependant on router). It's the best choice if you have more than 1 laptop. Check www.jwire.com for wireless hotspots.

                  Wi-Fi

                  Hard Drive (HDD)

Images, software, music files and games are stored here. HDD is measured in Gigabytes (Gb). The higher the figure, the more storage space.

                  Graphics card

Controls on-screen image quality. Measures in Megabytes (Mb). The greater the Mb, the better the games and DVD images. Dedicated graphics cards give the better quality images and graphics than shared ones.

Uses radio waves to wirelessly link compatible laptops, mobiles, scanners etc within 100m radius (dependant on conditions).

                  Bluetooth

                  PROCESSORS AT A GLANCE

Intel's new entry level energy-efficient dual core processor lets you do more at the same time without slowing your PC down.

                  Intel Celeron M

Intel's Pentium dual core processor is energy-efficient with the power of 2 processors in the one PC. Great for multi-tasking.

                  Intel Celeron Dual Core

This is Intel's next generation dual core processor. Energy-efficient and really fast - no 'hanging' on-screen when you've 2 tasks on the go.

                  Intel Pentium Duel Core

This is the processor to choose for Wi-Fi operations - it ensures the best possible performance.

                  Intel Core 2 Duo

Ideal for games, this dual-core processor lets you download MP3s, burn a CD, check e-mails, run virus protection, all at the same time - no slowing down.

                  AMD Processor

Next generation, faster, more efficient Centrino processor with integrated Wi-Fi and WiMAX wireless technologies.

                  C7-M Processor
