Really basic camera for the price, although it is far superior than a bridge camera. I did expect better from Canon, and in my honest opinion I would shell out the extra £££ for the Canon EOS 550D, as it is better in every aspect.
Not knocking this camera as it is good quality and ideal for a beginner and is very easy to use, shame it doesn't come with IS lens though, which the 550D does.
Compared against the similiar priced Nikon D3100, then the Nikon wins for features and spec.
Still a good camera though and I do recommend it.

I bought this particular model as a friend uses one as a back up, he is a freelance photographer.
This is my first step up from a compact, and i couldn't have made a better choice...i was concerned i wouldn't be able to make use of all the functions...and some i still haven't! but it doesn't take long to be shooting on manual mode...like a real photographer! It is great in low light, i manage a band and always take alot of photos, on stage and back stage, i was really impressed how clear and well lit they turned out...being a dslr it can also shoot continuously, and this is great for making sure you get a sharp picture. It came with a great zoom lens, and being canon, there are a whole load of lenses and accessories available. If like me, you wanted to take the step into dslr photography, don't hesitate...this is one purchase i am so pleased i made..great camera, and now i can take professional looking photos.
