This was.an upgrade from a compact. I have to say wow, everything from the camera to the easy to understand manual make this a must buy for anyone wanting to take a step forward in photography, I've been taking some great pictures, from landscape to close ups of flowers, and they all come out with excellent quality. They also include software for use on the imac, which was a.must for me.
