Please note that all pressure fit safety gates are manufactured to compress into the opening. When you take it out of the box, the lock will not reach the other side of the gate, but it will once the gate is fitted and the pressure is holding the gate secure in the opening. Please follow the instructions carefully when assembling and fitting pressure fit gates.
