loved this item as its bright an cheerful, didnt think about where the handle is placed as obviously the hot steam rises up and as you have the handle tipped your hand is the 1st thing it touches!! the metal between the body of the kettle and lid seems to have rusted and very quickly

I bought this kettle for it to blend in with my kitchen i have had it just over a month and i am having issues with it the handle has not been fitted properly , where the spots are on the kettle have been cheaply stuck on and tends to bubble up when boiling kettle also i have a rust patch appearing in this short time other than that the kettle has a good fast boiling time but i am returning due to issues and poor quality build.

THIS KETTLE IS LOVELY. BIGGER THAN EXPECTED. NOT NOISY AT ALL AND BOILS QUICKLY. EASY TO POUR AND FILL, EVEN THROUGH THE SPOUT. GOOD FIRM LID, BUT NOT DIFFICULT TO REMOVE.
UNFORTUNATELY, I HAD TO RETURN DUE TO 'METALLIC' TASTE IN WATER AFTER BREWING TEA. INSTRUCTIONS ADVISE TO BOIL AND DISCARD 3 TIMES BEFORE USING, WHICH I DID, BUT STILL GAVE A METALLIC TASTE IN TEA. I BREWED A CUP OF TEA WITH MY OLD KETTLE AND THIS NEW ONE AT THE SAME TIME, AND THE 'METALLIC' TASTE WAS STILL THERE FROM THE KALORIK KETTLE BUT NOT FROM MY OLD KETTLE. SORRY TO HAVE TO RETURN AS THIS IS A REALLY NICE KETTLE FOR THE MONEY AND DOES WHAT IT SAYS ON THE TIN!!

due to the position of the handle when you tilt the kettle to pour out water, the steam burns your hand. Need to wrap hand well in thick cloth.
