a suprise when we found out that the tv upgrades dvds and blu-rays into 3D some dvds & blu-rays do this better than others but is good fun.. also does this with games i use with my ps3 and it upgrades these games into 3D even if your game is not 3D compatable. no need for active glasses , just change your settings , the last one on the list when you press you 3D button.

All in all a great set, I spent a lot of time looking for a TV with good specs at a low price and this is it! The HD picture is amazing and the trumotion makes it feel like your not even watching a telly, although this does take a bit of getting used too. Trumotion tends to fail a bit on very fast scenes with long vertical or horizontal lines (like lamposts) and goes a little blockie (for want of a better word).
There are a lot of picture settings which will need playing around with a little as the out-of-box ones are not IMO great, And each input can have it's own settings which is good if you're going to be using a PS3 or Xbox. There is (according to some) picture lag when playing PS3 but with the hdmi input labeled as 'PC' I have not really noticed any and can still play just as well.
Sound quality is what you'd expect more than loud enough for most needs.
The 3D is great on this set, very good detail, no flickering and comes with 7 sets of glasses plus being a passive 3D set the glasses are cheap to replace (should the kids get hold of them!).
The set is a VESA 400x400 for wall mounting and the screen is not a high gloss so good if mounting opposite a window like me.

The UK will have completely switched over to digital TV by the end of 2012. Going digital is easy - all you need is a TV with a built-in digital tuner or a digital set top box (one to upgrade each of your existing TVs).
HD-ready, HD 1080P
TVs with these symbols will allow you to upgrade to High Definition TV for the best pictures yet (via compatible receiving equipment).

Don't miss - the UK will have switched completely over to digital TV by the end of 2012 - if you don't switch you'll lose your programmes. All you need is a TV with a built-in digital tuner or a separate digital set top box to upgrade your existing non-digital TVs.
