Comments about Nikon 1J1 10.1 Megapixel Digital Camera Black:

considering i got this camera only 2 days ago, i have been using it constantly to see how long the battery lasts, see how it works in the sun, dull weather, while taking pictures of stationary and moving objects eg. animals, cars and landscapes, ive used the slow motion feature so i can say ive within 2 days used quite a lot of the features of the camera and for a 1st time camera hobbyist i cant fault the working of the camera itself, the pictures have been realy crisp and im already looking forward to buying the bigger lenses to further enjoy what this camera can do. So far my only slight dissapointment was the fact you cant choose scene modes yourself, it is just automatic and sometimes it might not choose the 1 you think would be best, but saying that i still havent found it letting me down on any pictures, the only time it did was my own fault as im getting used to using the apperture and iso settings. maybe people will say ive reviewed too early to judge but from taking about 300 pictures and about 30 videos in all different settings, i think i can leave this review. i look forward to getting out and using the full potential of this camera in the future.

Comments about Nikon 1J1 10.1 Megapixel Digital Camera Black:

The Nikon J1 is an excellent camera - period.

Some magazine reviews have been quite negative (and not at all factual) about this camera, but it seems that's because the J1's feature set is so unique, it's upset the typical DSLR reviewer that they no longer have the best product to brag about anymore! The J1 crushes even the top DSLR's, as it can shoot up to 60 frames per second at full resolution. It can take 20 shots before you even press the shutter button fully down and then take another 20 upon releasing it and then shows you the best 5 images so you never miss a shot.

It can take still images while recording a movie, and the shutter makes no noise in this mode, so you won't hear an annoying 'click' in the middle of your movie. Yes, it's that good! The battery life can be a little short, but just get hold of an extra battery and you're good to go. There really is nothing else like it.

I wish I had more space to continue, but I really don't need to. Just buy it, you won't regret it (but it doesn't stay in stock for very long).
