Having read other comments I opted for larger size than normal - I'm normally a 12 and I ordered size 14. It was far too big and too long and made me look frumpy. Also, the colour was not as described - I was expecting a purple dress but it was more of a plum colour. I have returned the dress.

Wow... i love this dress!! I wasnt too sure about it when i ordered it but im so glad i did. Im 26 and about 5ft5ish! I bought this dress for my cousins wedding in august. i thought it might be a bit 'old' for me but i was wrong. i bought the dress in purple. dont get a shock when you see it on the hanger, it looks very wide. i ordered a 10 as this is my usual size. i tried it on without great expectation but i was pleasently surprised. its so flattering and the material is great. the flowy skirts starts just where you want it too. the lenght is perfect for a wedding. the purple is fab. it may be a bit plain... but nothing a clip on flower wont sort out! Its fab... go for it!!

The diagram below shows the key points to measure when calculating size, then simply select the correct size from the chart above. It's best to actually take body measurements rather than measuring over clothes. You shouldn't need to 'size up' or 'down' unless you have a particular fit preference of course.

1. The Back or Band Size (A)
Keep your bra on and measure in inches around your ribcage directly under your bust.
- If it is an even number = add 4 ins
- If it is an odd number = add 5 ins
This gives you the band or back size. When measuring, you should always round down! Your underband should be snug, e.g. If you achieve 29.5 ins then round down.
For example: your underband measurement is 29in then add 5 ins - you are a 34.
2. The Cup Size (B)
Now measure around the fullest part of your bust, the full bust measurement less underband = cup size. When measuring, you should always round up!
The over bust measurement should always be generous, e.g. If you achieve 34.5 ins then round up to 35 ins.
- 34 Back size & 34 Full Bust size = A cup
- 34 Back size & 35 Full Bust size (+1 ins difference) = B cup
- 34 Back size & 36 Full Bust size (+2 ins difference) = C cup
- 34 Back size & 36 Full Bust size (+3 ins difference) = D cup... etc.
Footwear
width - toes should have room to spread with no bulges at the shoe’s widest part.
length - there should be half an inch (1.25cm) between the end of the shoe and the longest toe.

High leg boots that do not have any stretch material in them will not fit everyone. To find out whether boots will fit, use the calf measurement chart below.
