Sweetwater, Marlowe, Haggard and Redwater, the four heroes in the previous Bad Company game, are back to save the day, and the wisecracks still come thick and fast.

There's plenty of vehicles to tackle, including jeeps, quad bikes, boats, tanks and helicopters.

Another major advance is the impressively realistic destruction engine - blast anything with a grenade or rocket launcher and it will eventually disintegrate - and never assume you're safe because enemy troops can blow away your cover.

Swedish developer DICE have also created a superb online multi-player experience, where teamwork and creative thinking are essential if you are to survive.

The brutally fast pace soon exposes the weak as you fight to explore the vast landscape and use the variety of vehicles to achieve your mission aims.
