Possibly the greatest film trilogy of all time, the Toy Story Collection is heartwarming, original and very, very funny.

When the original Toy Story came out in 1995 it played a key part of creating Pixar's  reputation for creating high-quality animated movies.

Pull-string cowboy Woody (voiced by Tom Hanks) is Andy's favourite toy - until Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen) arrives. The two have an ongoing feud, but are forced to team up when they find themselves stranded in the real world.

The sequel, Toy Story 2 (1999) sees Woody (Hanks) kidnapped by toy collector Al (Wayne Knight), who plans to sell him to a Japanese toy museum. Buzz takes along Mr Potato Head, Slinky Dog and Rex the Dinosaur on a rescue mission, but they encounter plenty of hilarious problems along the way.

The third instalment, Toy Story 3 (2010) finds Andy clearing out his bedroom in preparation for starting college, leaving Woody, Buzz and the rest of the toy-box gang stuck in the donations box at a local day care centre and at the mercy of a horde of wild, sticky-fingered toddlers.

As they struggle to stay together while coping with the chaos, the gang meet a new bunch of toys led by pink teddy bear Lotso (Ned Beatty), while Barbie (Jodie Benson) is at last united with her male counterpart, Ken (Michael Keaton).

Designed for children but full of humour and emotional resonances that keep the parents entertained, this is a movie collection you won't mind if they want to watch over and over again...
