Euphorbia lactiflora 'Cristata' (Elkhorn) 11cm Pot
Item number PC7AE
Euphorbia lactiflora 'Cristata' (Elkhorn) 11cm PotEuphorbia lactea 'Cristata', AKA Elkhorn or Coral Cactus, is surely one of the most monstrous looking of all the cacti currently available but such a curiosity that it is well worth growing! A crested cactus with undulating, fanning branches which snake out from the central crown, when its placed into a decorative pot, it's inner beauty shines through and it created an absolutely stunning feature plant. Looking like something more suited to an alien landscape, the convoluted branches are marked with beautiful zigzag patterns which transform this cactus into something rather special. Easy to grow, Euphorbias are very easy to care for to and once established, they are more or less self-sufficient, in fact, they actually thrive on neglect! Believe it or not, plants of this family can reach up to 5m (16ft) in the wild, forming a magnificent shrub. Fortunately, in the UK and restricted by a pot, plants are unlikely to reach more than 30cm (12in) high and wide. Actually, a type of spurge - the same family as Perennial euphorbias and poinsettias - they exude the characteristic milky sap when cut, so care should be taken when handling. Supplied as an established plant in an 11cm pot. Plants will reach 30cm x 30cm. Note: Decorative pot in images is for display purposes only and is not supplied.
