Historically, pieces of lokum - from the Arabic rahat al-hulqum, meaning comfort of the throat - were exchanged by European socialites, wrapped in silk handkerchiefs. Hotel Chocolat retains the authenticity of the traditional sweet treat; the Turkish Delight is made for them in Turkey using time honoured recipes.
