PLUM VICTORIA TREE 1.4M BARE ROOT

Named in honour of the much-loved Queen, 'Victoria' Plum is the UK's favourite plum variety by a mile and deservedly so! The delicious fruits are ready to pick every year late in the summer and taste simply mouth-watering when eaten straight from the tree. With the remaining fruit you can make jams and preserves and of course, eat them stewed with custard! Having been discovered in Alderton, Sussex in 1844 and grown and enjoyed by gardeners every year since, 'Victoria' really has stood the test of time - undoubtedly because of its sublime flavour and productivity - a fully established tree of this 'self-fertile' variety will produce up to 100lbs of fruit in a bumper season! Supplied on a 'dwarfing' rootstock it will stay compact, perfect for growing in pots on the patio or in the border. Fruits are ready to pick each July and taste simply mouth-watering straight from the tree. A fully established tree of this self-fertile variety will produce up to 100lbs of fruit in a bumper season! Height: 250cm Spread: 250cm. Plant: Oct-Apr. Flowers: Apr-May. Fruit: Aug-Sep.
  • Britain's best-loved and most popular garden Plum variety - for good reason!
  • It will produce sumptuous yellow-fleshed, red-skinned fruits in late summer, with heavier crops every year once established.
  • Self-fertile so no pollinators needed and is grown on a dwarfing rootstock, so will not grow to more than 11-12ft tall.
  • Ideal for planting in large patio pots on the patio - you don't need lots of space of an alloment to grow your own fruit!
  • Supplied as a dormant, bare root tree, approx. 1.2m tall, ready to plant straight out.
