Protect - Repair

You can choose how to pay for your monthly insurance. You can choose to add it to your Very Pay account or pay by debit or credit card. If you choose to add it to your Very Pay account, you will be consenting to the premium being charged automatically each month until the policy is cancelled. If you choose to pay in full by debit or credit card, we will contact you by email each month to request payment of the next premium.

If your monthly premium isn't received by the premium due date, your policy will be suspended and you won't be able to make a claim.

If your chosen payment method is by debit or credit card

You can make a payment in the Insure & Protect area of your account within 14 days of the premium due date. If a payment isn’t received by the end of this period, your policy will expire and can’t be reinstated.

If you choose to add the monthly premium to your Very Pay account

If we're not able to add the monthly premium to your Very Pay account on the premium due date, we'll try adding the premium again within 14 days. If this is successfully added then your policy will continue for the next month. If this is not possible, your policy will expire and can't be reinstated.

By purchasing Very Protect - Repair, you are extending the warranty so your item will continue to be covered for mechanical and electrical breakdown after the manufacturer's warranty period ends.

In addition to mechanical and electrical breakdown, a Very Protect - Repair policy also provides cover for accidental damage. If you accidentally damage your item and it stops working, you have peace of mind that we will repair it for you.

Very Protect - Repair cover does not include some situations including loss or theft and failure to follow manufacturer's instructions.

With Very Protect - Repair, mechanical / electrical breakdown and accidental damage will be covered as standard with no excess to pay. If you have existing policies such as these that give the same cover elsewhere, you will need to consider whether you may be paying for duplicate cover by purchasing Very Protect - Repair.

Most manufacturers offer a 12-month warranty against any mechanical or electrical breakdown, but they may not include cover for accidental damage. With Very Protect - Repair you'll be covered for a longer period than a standard manufacturer guarantee. Accidental damage will be covered from day one and you will be covered for mechanical and electrical breakdown once your manufacturer's warranty ends.

The cost of Repair cover is small compared to the amount you may have to pay to repair or replace your product.

No. Your Repair cover will continue after you have had a repair and you can make an unlimited number of repair claims on this policy. The cover only ends if a replacement product is provided.

Yes, unfortunately we can't offer Very Protect - Repair for products bought elsewhere.

No. There is no excess to pay on the policy if you make a claim.

Yes, Very Protect - Repair gives you worldwide cover for 30 consecutive days during the term of the policy. Please note that a repair can only be arranged when you return to the UK.

The benefits offered under Very Protect - Repair are in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Under this Act, if the product you purchase is subsequently found to be defective then you will be entitled to a remedy such as a repair, a replacement or a refund. This legal right lasts for up to 6 years (5 years in Scotland). If the product proves defective in the first 30 days after purchase then you may reject the goods and request a full refund. Thereafter, you will be entitled to a repair or replacement but if those remedies are not possible then you can claim a full, or partial, refund depending on the age of the goods.
