This compact soother has 3 different modes to use as baby grows into a toddler. For the first 6 months, use as a newborn swing  with the newborn insert to keep your bundle of joy cocooned in comfort. From 6 to 12 months, remove the insert and use the baby liner and you're in baby soother mode. From approx. 12 months, remove the baby liner and use as a child chair up to approx. 4 years.
