A fault has been identified with the handle on the Venicci Engo Child Car Seat infant carrier, item numbers:
VL3JY, VL3JZ, VL3KE, VL3KF, VNTL9, VNTLA, VNTLB, VXUS3, VX1AK
There’s a potential safety risk when carrying the infant carrier as the handle can become loose and, in exceptional cases, it can detach.
The supplier is voluntarily recalling the affected lines and replacing them free of charge.
The impacted batch numbers are: 230530, 230617, 230727, 230824, 231102.
Please check the Batch number on your product. This can be found on the white label on the underside of the car seat (first six digits).
If your product is one of the affected batch numbers, please immediately stop using the infant carrier and request a replacement car seat by emailing service@venicci.co.uk.

The affected Samsung Gas Hobs may be fitted with a connector that is at risk of failing in certain circumstances whether the hob is in use or not. Should this occur, this could lead to a gas leak or fire.

How do I know if I have an affected model?
The model number can be found either on the rating label under the hob or on the instruction manual. Should neither be readily accessible, or you have concerns you might have an affected model, then please follow the instructions below to register for a free inspection by a Gas Safe registered engineer.
What should I do next?
If you have an affected gas hob or you cannot locate your model number, it’s important that you contact Samsung straight away to arrange for a free inspection and repair by a Gas Safe registered engineer.

Glen Dimplex Home Appliances
Notice added 26th August 2022
Glen Dimplex Home Appliances (Stoves, Belling, New World) and the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) are advising that an investigation is ongoing into a fatality due to carbon monoxide poisoning where a gas range cooker was in the premises.
The investigation into the tragic death is ongoing and the family and friends of the person who has died have our deepest sympathies. Given the risk of carbon monoxide, we are contacting consumers to remind them that they MUST USE THE GAS GRILL WITH THE DOOR OPEN, as detailed in the instruction manual.
A number of Stoves, Belling and New World gas range cookers are impacted and so it is important that you make contact with us via 0800 110 5728 or email consumersupport@glendimplex.com. By doing so, we can confirm if your cooker is affected and keep you updated with the latest advice. If you no longer own the cooker, it is still extremely important that you contact us to let us know who now owns it so that we can contact them too.
You will need your model number, starting with 4444, and serial number when contacting us. This can be found by opening the main oven door. It is located on a badge on the frame above the grill cavity.
We are actively reminding all of our consumers and owners of these gas range cookers that they MUST OPERATE THE GAS GRILL WITH THE DOOR OPEN as detailed in the instruction manual. DOING SO POSES NO RISK OF CARBON MONOXIDE BUILD-UP.
We have stringent health and safety measures in place, and all of our cookers are tested to industry standards and by the British Standards Institute (BSI) before they are made available to buy.
We will continue to raise awareness of the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning and to encourage the highest standards of testing industry-wide. We are working closely with the OPSS to highlight the risks of carbon monoxide and we support their message of informing consumers to only use gas grills with the door open.
Consumers with one of these gas range cookers in their home can continue to use the product as per the instruction manual, but MUST ENSURE THAT THE GRILL DOOR IS LEFT OPEN WHILST THE GAS GRILL IS IN OPERATION.
Appliance Use:
All gas appliances must be installed and operated in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with the cooker. Correct use and adequate ventilation is essential to ensure safe use of these cookers. Using an appliance for any purpose, other than that for which it is designed, can cause serious safety issues. The grill cavity in these appliances is designed for open door grilling and the grill must not be used as an oven, a space heater, or any other purpose.

Rexel Promax Paper Shredder

M9U43 and M9U46 – Rexel Promax Shredder Models REX823 and RSX1035
ACCO Brands is initiating a replacement programme of Rexel Promax Shredder Models REX823 and RSX1035. This product was sold between December 2016 and May 2019.
ACCO have become aware that some Rexel Promax Shredder Models REX823 and RSX1035 may fail during operation, causing a risk of burns to the users hands, arms or face, or fire to adjacent objects such as furniture.
Customer safety is the top priority for ACCO Brands and they have voluntarily initiated a free replacement programme for consumers who have an impacted shredder. Please see below for further details.

Apple has determined that, in a limited number of these older generation 15-inch MacBook Pro units, the battery may overheat and pose a fire safety risk.
Affected units were sold between September 2015 and February 2017 and product eligibility is determined by the product serial number.

The manufacturer has identified a potential non-conformity with the detected phthalates level in a small batch of this doll being above set limits. Repeated exposure to phthalates over time can be harmful.

We have identified a problem with two models of Swan washing machine sold between 2010 and 2012.
A small number of these washing machines have failed in use due to a fault with the internal control unit. This can lead to overheating during use and, in some cases there is a small risk of a fire developing. Therefore, we are taking the precautionary step of replacing the control units on all affected items.
What you need to do
To confirm whether you have an affected model, check the model number displayed on the front of the machine on the rating label, against the affected model numbers listed above.

If you believe you have an affected machine, stop using the machine and disconnect or switch it off at the wall socket.
How to organise the modification if you have an affected product

Recaro Child Safety is implementing a replacement program for its Recaro SmartClick base, which can be used with the child seat Optia. Only Recaro fix bases of a clearly defined production batch are affected. The replacement program is free of charge for customers.
In dynamic tests conducted as part of comparison testing by Stiftung Warentest and Which?, the seat separated from the Isofix base. Recaro Child Safety takes this test result very seriously. The company therefore implemented numerous measures after receiving this information to analyse the reason for the behaviour of the product reported by Stiftung Warentest and Which?.

Expansion of the HP Notebook Computer Battery Safety Recall and Replacement Program of June 2016 - Additional Batteries Affected.

In cooperation with various government regulatory agencies HP has announced an expansion of its ongoing worldwide voluntary safety recall and replacement program for certain notebook batteries, which was announced in June 2016.
The program has been expanded to include additional batteries that were shipped with the same notebook products. The affected batteries were shipped with specific HP, Compaq, HP ProBook, HP ENVY, Compaq Presario, and HP Pavilion Notebook Computers, sold worldwide from March 2013 through October 2016, and/or were sold as accessories or spares, or provided as replacements through Support.
The batteries have the potential to overheat, posing a fire and burn hazard to customers. HP's primary concern is for your safety. Because affected batteries pose a fire and burn hazard, it is extremely important to check whether your battery is affected.
It is essential to recheck your battery, even if you did so previously and were informed that it was not affected. Note: if you have already received a replacement battery, you are not affected by this expansion.
Please go immediately to the HP Battery Recall website at https://www.hp.com/go/batteryprogram2016 to check if your battery is affected by this expanded recall program. If the validation process indicates that your battery is affected, cease use of the battery immediately and remove it from the notebook.

Indesit, Hotpoint and Swan Condenser Dryers
Whirlpool have advised us that as of today 22nd February 2017 they are amending their existing advice to customers affected by this tumble dryer issue.
Customers who are currently awaiting a modification had previously been advised that they could continue to use their product, provided they monitored the machine whilst in use and cleaned the filter after use.
The new advice is to 'not use the machine whilst awaiting modification and to unplug it'.
Whirlpool has identified a potential risk in some tumble dryers it manufactured between April 2004 and October 2015 under the Indesit, Hotpoint, Creda and Swan brands.
What's the issue?
In some rare cases, excess fluff can come into contact with the heating element of the tumble dryer and present a risk of fire. The fire risk occurs if the user doesn't regularly clean the lint filter in-line with the operating instructions.
How can I find out if my dryer has been affected?
Whirlpool has contacted affected customers asking them to visit its website or phone its dedicated helpline to confirm whether their appliance is one of those affected by this issue. If it is, Whirlpool will arrange for an engineer to visit customers and modify the appliance, free of charge, to remove the fire risk.
If you want to find out if your dryer is affected, please contact Whirlpool's dedicated hotline or website. If your dryer was purchased from October 2015, it is NOT an affected model. However, it's important to continue to properly clean and maintain your dryer, as outlined in the user manual.

Why will it take so long for Whirlpool to fix my dryer?
Whirlpool is managing a large volume of repairs and is urging those with affected machines to be patient while they work through appointments. Whirlpool have advised that the necessary modifications are being made on a first registered, first served basis. If you have any questions around the process for repairs, please contact the Whirlpool helpline.
What if my home insurance company says I'm not insured to use the product whilst I'm awaiting the modification?
Provided you are following Whirlpool's instructions - cleaning your lint filter after each use and not leaving it unattended when in use - your insurance should not be impacted. If in doubt, you can check this with your insurance company.

Only Recaro fix bases of a clearly defined production batch are affected. The replacement program is free of charge for customers. During testing it was found that a particular production batch of the Recaro fix base does not meet the quality standards of Recaro Child Safety even though it fulfills the ECE-R44/04 approval standard.
What you need to do

You will also find an online tool with which they can check if your product is affected, and with which you can register for the replacement program. The affected product codes are 6AXUP and 6DL7U. These products were first sold in January 2015.

Faro Upholstery Range

We have identified a manufacturing issue with our Faro range. The issue is with how the pin tuck detail on the back cushions has been secured, and a modification to these cushions is required.
Consumer safety is their top priority and as a precaution they have taken the decision to modify this product. We have therefore arranged for our Furniture repair specialist (Ecomaster) to carry out the required modifications.
What you need to do
You don't need to do anything - Ecomaster will contact all affected customers.
