With their long, upright stems, they carry huge globes made up of dozens of individual flowers for a spectacular architectural quality that's impossible to miss. They are said to symbolise fortune and prosperity - making them a wonderful gift for a friend or loved one.

Perfect for container growing, Allium ‘Ostara' is a compact variety. Its flowers are an amazingly vibrant purple-red during May and June and will look superb against the grey tone of the included planter. Alliums are recommended by the RHS as a ‘Plant for Pollinators' and irresistible to bees and butterflies!

Simply plant the bulbs in autumn up until mid-November and they'll Produce big lush grey-green leaves in spring from which the flower stems will rise.
