Work it: back to the office beauty

Refresh your workplace makeup routine with iconic products

We’re not sure about you but we’ve definitely forgotten what our workplace makeup routine used to be! If you’re heading back to the office or similar this month and are looking to wear makeup after a fresh-faced few months then you’ve come to the right place.

Keep it simple

Wherever you work, you want your day-to-day makeup to appear professional and polished. You absolutely don’t need to pile on the products to look fresh; it’s more about subtly highlighting your favourite features. Think about those that make you feel most confident and brighten them in some way. Whether that’s glowing skin or defined eyes, it’s about what makes you feel your best.

Opt for multi-taskers

Multiuse makeup products are hard-working beauty heroes. Stick makeup that you can blend with your fingers is easy to use, perfect for touch-ups and removes the need for sponges or makeup brushes. For your eyes, eyeshadow sticks are quick and versatile. Throw them on, blend them or even use a smudge under the eye as an alternative to eyeliner.

Refresh the icons

If you haven’t really worn makeup in a while – particularly daily, then it might be time to reinvest in those essentials. Ensure your skin looks good by investing in a primer to form a great base for your makeup. Use a tinted moisturiser or foundation to even out your skin tone, then dab concealer on any blemishes. Bright lipstick can make a statement but also requires a lot of retouching, so opt for tinted lip-balms or a hint of colour from a lipstick that’s not too bold.

Carry a makeup bag

Given that your workplace look is relatively simple, you don’t need a carrier bag-sized haul to add to your daily load, but it’s handy to take a few handbag essentials or mini products in case you need to touch up your makeup for a meeting or you’re going out straight after work.
