Feel-Good Beauty

Shine inside and out with a refreshed regime
Spring cleaning your surroundings isn’t a new thing, but how many of us spring clean our beauty routines? Now is the perfect time of year to be looking at what you’ve got, what you’re using and what you’re not, so why not declutter those bathroom cabinets, ready for a fresh new you?
Out with the Old
We’re probably all guilty of using products past their expiry date, as most people aren’t even aware of the shelf life of their makeup and skincare. Check each of your products for the symbol letting you know how long they can be used after opening, or below for a rough guide:

Cold Calling
If you can, store any mists, serums and masks in the fridge so they will be at their best. Plus, they’ll feel so refreshing on the skin and will contribute to de-puffing.
Clean Living
If you’re using them every day, some experts suggest that you should clean your makeup brushes and sponges every week and replace them every few months. This might be a little unrealistic for most of us but whilst you’re detoxing your routine, now is a good time to do it. You don’t need a special cleaning solution, just use soap or a facial cleanser.

In with the New
Spring cleaning is also a good time to switch out products based on the season. If your winter skincare is thick, you may want to swap it for a lightweight, water-based formula that also contains SPF.
Cold winter weather has likely left your skin feeling dull and dry, so think about using a face mask to rejuvenate your skin for springtime.
Remember that changing products with seasons isn’t limited to skincare – it’s the perfect time to update your makeup to brighter, more lifting shades.
